I realized that I don’t lead one of those lives where exciting things happen to me often but I’ve had more than my fair share of weird days.

Just the other day, Emmeline brought up the incident where I forgot where my phone was. This has got to be one of my more embarrassing days.

Ages ago, I’d followed Emmeline to Carousel to cancel her gym membership or something along those lines. On the way back to Curtin after everything, Lisa called me and I was happily talking in the car while Emmeline drove us back. As I got out of the car, I did my customary ‘body check’ to see if I had left my hand phone anywhere as I had nearly done that before.

I pat my front left pocket. No handphone. Fine. I don’t put my phone there anyway.

I pat my front right pocket. No handphone. Not good.

By this point, I was already in a state of panic, wondering where I had left my phone.

So I asked Emmeline, “Eh, have you seen my phone?”

She gave me this look that clearly meant she thought I was crazy.

And then I realized, I was talking on the phone to Lisa and had also asked her that question. She stopped for a while and all 3 of us started laughing our asses off.

I felt so dumb blondish that moment and just wanted to sink into the ground. I will never live that down till this day.
