Of Words

Reading this was hilarious, since I actually uttered those words while being all serious and actually meaning to send the gifts over via snail mail. Lately words have been a thing that has hounded me. Somehow or rather I’ve always managed to mix up my words or get all the wrong words out of my mouth, like e-mail instead of snail mail and almond instead of apricot.

Then again, they say that people who have difficulty with words are showing signs of early dementia.

My answer to that: Meh.

Anyhows, just came back from a movie with Jas, instead of watching Jackass 2, we ended up watching Open Season because I wasn’t 10 years older than my cousin, who is 14 and can’t get in cause the stupid film was rated MA15+.

Admitedly, I was ready to watch some movie which didn’t require much thinking where I can watch grown men make a fool out of themselves and make money that way (Who wouldn’t?) but ended up watching a G rated movie, which was good in the end.

Its December 2nd and daylight savings kicks in at 2am tomorrow morning. So far I’ve changed my clocks and watches forwards 1 hour cause I won’t be home till Monday morning and I still have my current watch and my handphone to change forward before I sleep tonight. No idea how well this daylight saving thing will work out to be, all I know is I want to hit the beach and hide under that gazebo again! Hehe…

Speaking about gazebos, we went out again last night to glow bowling at Fairlanes in Perth City and went for bubble tea after that at Utopia at 12am. We really had no idea what we were doing, but it was a great time. Pictures will be up in 2 days time when I can compile them photos and get them onto my server.

Holidays this time round is much, much better since I’ve got more people to hang out with during the summer. Since I’m going back for part of the summer, its going to be quite sad cause I won’t be seeing them during summer. Hope to meet up with Ange in Singapore if I do happen to go there during January though.

Plans for summer aside, its time to plan the Christmas eve and Christmas day dinner parties. I don’t know why, but I’m all excited about planning and cooking whatever I’ll be cooking for those 2 days. I’ve compiled and tried out a few recipes, which have turned out to be pretty good so far. I’ve realised something these few days, if I hadn’t studied OT, I probably would have become an event planner or a wedding planner or something along those lines, seeing that I like the kinds of things involved with them.

Roughly 1 more hour to go to daylights savings! I’m excited already…Hehe….Not to mention I can’t wait to get home and start tweaking my blog again, since I’ve actually written down some ideas of stuff that I need to do with my blog…Hmmm…Someone definitely needs to tear me away from the laptop soon if I become glued to it :)

The First Day of Summer

As each day goes past, I learn a new thing. Especially when it comes to tweaking my blog. Not sure if many people noticed the change in theme, since the other theme wasn’t really functioning to my liking. This theme is a little bit better and I should be tweaking the aesthetics as I go along. Like I told Edrei, I’m turning into a female version of him: I get all excited learning about new things especially with xhtml and css and tweaking things here and there.

It’s officially the first day of summer here in Australia and quite frankly, the weather has been a little un-summer-like. Its still cold and I’m still stuck in my trackies and sitting at home in front of the computer. This ain’t right. Thank goodness I’m going out tonight.

Going glow bowling tonight with everyone, so hopefully it will be good. The good ol camera is coming along for the trip to catch us in action tonight.

Holidays have been pretty much relaxing, which is the way holidays are meant to be. Been working a few times since uni got off and been out a few times and pretty much cleaned up or attempted to clean up my room. I guess this is a yearly ritual for me, cleaning out stuff after exams is after all therapeutic and at least gives me something to do during the summer I guess.

Daylight savings is kicking in on 3rd December this year, so Perth will be 1 hour ahead of Malaysia then. That would equate in 1 hour more daylight for those who need it. So in line with the new times, it will get dark at 9.30pm during the summer solstice. And here people say Perth is such a boring place.

Anyway, besides the glow bowling plan and working aside, its back to cleaning my room and getting rid of a lot of junk. And not to mention tweaking my blog bit by bit. Here’s to a good summer!
