New Hair Cut

I haven’t loaded many pictures up here lately and yes, I’ve been itching to do so but plans tergendala due to the loss of my USB. But here are the pictures I’ve taken of my new hair style, cut and coloured. I guess I needed a change again in life to keep my outlook fresh and the least destructive thing I could do was chop my hair off and colour it.

So here we are:

Day 1, Prior to Colouring

I definitely need to start getting out of my room and taking more pictures.

Sunny Sunny Days

OK, it’s not a sunny day today but it definitely was sunny on Friday. So sunny in fact that a trip to the beach was necessary. Not that the sun was strong enough, but enough to tan me just a tad bit to aid in the erasing of those pesky tan lines which are still there from last summer.

Speaking about going to the beach, there was this massive swarm of bees that literally came out of nowhere while I was waiting for the bus to Cottesloe. I stood there for 5 mins, wondering if I should make a break for it or if I was in fact safer staying where I was cause the bees didn’t come near me. The final straw was when this guy across Stirling Highway was warning me about the bees and I was terrified that I was going to get stung and I made a dash for the next bus stop. Never have I seen so many bees near me and none of them coming closer than 1m to me. Thankfully I made it to the beach unharmed, though slightly terrified after that.

Went and watched Hair Spray with Amanda and Lin that night. I tell you, it was great to have a well deserved breather after 8 weeks of uni and work. And to reminiscence on the funny events that we got up to earlier this year is just priceless. The laughing was definitely a good workout for the abs :)

Anyway, today on the way back home, the Smart Rider machine on the bus was out of order and it says so on the screen itself. And not to mention the bus driver was telling people the machine was spoilt so everybody had a free ride today. But some people are just either soooo ignorant or blatantly stubborn that they still try and tap their Smart Riders onto the reader.

There were 2 people who were just beyond ignorant. This lady who tried to tap her card twice on the reader in front of the bus and then while she was going towards the back of the bus, she tries to tap it again on the reader in the back. I nearly burst out laughing at her. It was as if she really, really wanted to pay money to the Public Transport Authority for her bus ride. She must have realised she looked like a goon when she got off the bus and she didn’t bother trying to tag off :P

The next person was equally as ignorant I must say. She tagged on AND off. The only one who actually tried to tag off. I was just shaking my head, a bus load of uni students and none of them take the 2 seconds to read the message displayed on the reader’s screen.

The best part was, both of them were wearing ear phones, so none of them could hear anything but music I suppose.

It’s so, so, so cold today. And rainy too.

I’ve just been huddled up all day, trying to do my Mental Health assignment and its driving me mental (pun intended). Going off to cook the potatoes and steak, since I’d stink if I showered 1st. So might as well go eat dinner and continue to attack this 4000 word essay >.<

I Is a Superstar

OK-lah, I need to feel good about myself once in a while right?

So I got to star in a video shoot today for Curtin.

And my role was?

Walking into the pharmacy. Browsing through the shampoo aisle and picking up a bottle of shampoo (Pantene, just cause it was the nearest to me and I refused to stoop down to grab a bottle of Head and Shoulders and look un-co doing it), read the label, and turn and walk out of the shot.

So there, my 15 mins of fame and acting….Muahahaha…If only I get paid. If only I can get more acting gigs….Teehee…..A girl can only hope :P

Horror Of Horrors

I have now become one of those girls I have also promised myself I wouldn’t become.

I have taken to attaching a bracelet with bells to my new USB. Because I lost my USB last week, I’ve attached the only thing with bells that I own to my new and precious USB. The things I do to p rotect my precious assignments and research and stuff…..Bah

OK, I admit I got that bracelet when I was 16 and it was all in the trend to go get bracelets with names on them and with bells and such. I wasn’t ever a big fan of bells or anything that made noise just cause I thought it was silly and an unnecessary attention grabbing piece of ornament that some girls like to attach to their things.

I’ve seen people attach keychains bigger than their mobile phone to their mobile phones. One of the more prominent and ridiculous things I saw was the one where this girl had this tiny mobile and she attached this hot pink feather keychain to the thing. Think Barbie-ish hot pink. All of this, witnessed at the uni cafe where I would say the mean age would be in their 20s. Everything about the girl screamed sophistication. Except the monstrocity of the phone. She had all the name brand bags and accessories and really pretty clothes, but a mobile phone accessory of a 10 year old.

OK, enough about me ranting about some random person at uni.

Over the weekend it was Aunty’s birthday so we went out for breakfast as a celebration because she was flying off to Melbourne that afternoon. Before that, we went to the laundrobar (fancy term for laundromat) round the corner from us and I tell you I love that place!

For starters the dryer drum is massive enough to crawl in there and sit happily while reading a book, minus the lights of course. And the clothes that come out of the dryer are like super warm and it feels so nice to just pull out freshly dried clothes from the thing and then do laundry. Makes laundry time a little less boring now :P

Then again, the only thing to remember is never to put in clothes that might shrink in the dryer, or else you’d end up with clothes that look like it belongs to a baby :P

I can feel my stomach grumbling for food right now as my brain is using all the glucose while writing up my Mental Health group report. I tell you this report is driving me nuts. First I was so rajin to go start the thing and then I go lose my USB, now I’ve got a new USB (which looks just glam btw) and I can’t think of what to write. Damn this Murphy’s Law.

Frustrated

I’ve just realised that my thumb drive had a lot more on it than I first thought. Just a word of warning, if my blog site suddenly becomes a little weird its cause all my blog stuff was on the thumb drive and all my portable apps is on there, including the app which I use to manage the blogs. So for now I have no access to my FTP till I buy a new USB and download all the apps and reconfigure everything again.

Let’s hope whoever that was dishonest enough to take my thumbdrive does not know how to access the stuff in there and is technologically challenged enough to not want to explore all the rubbish I have in there.

PMS-ing

Short update for today:

  • Got my Tuberculin testing done, negative sign for TB. Which is good btw
  • Got my last shot for the year: MMR
  • Finished my Mental Health presentation
  • Started my Mental Health group report
  • Lost my USB with said report and research on it
  • I’ve had enough for the day. I really hope whoever has my thumbdrive will be compelled enough to return it because all my research is inside and I definitely need it ASAP. Its a 2 GB thumbdrive. Come on, be kind enough please? I’m already under enough stress about everything else I don’t need to be stressed about losing all my work.

    I’m Still Alive

Yes, even though there have definitely been a sore lack of updates recently my life is, according to Lin, like a story book: full of drama and crazy moments tucked in between the pages.

I have definitely got a full plate going on lately, so no more time for lengthy updates, more like only enough time to spare to make dot points of everything and summarise my days. Insert adjectives and fillers at will.

  • Currently working on the self-directed project, collecting ideas and e-mailing respective coordinators for approval etc
  • Bottom row of keys on phone is half dead and not responding well unless I smack the bejeebers outta it. If I take a very long time to message back, its cause I cannot for the life of me unlock my keypad to even read my messages
  • I’ve cut my hair yet again after being moody and doing it on impulse after Lin planted the thought in my head last Tuesday, resulting in me cutting my hair and creating the illusion that I am taller than my 156cms
  • Just done my Mantoux test to rule out TB on Monday and going to have the prick measured tomorrow. It is looking bigger than it was on Monday, but I most certainly do not have TB in case anyone is wondering
  • Going to take my last needle, MMR, on Thursday and I’m done at least till next year when I’m due in for my flue shot
  • Giving a presentation of the Mental Health site visit we had over the break and I’m not breaking out in cold sweat. Yet
  • I’ve got a slight cold and I’m sniffling all day long. Don’t mind me, the wind really is howling and chilling me to the bones even with my uggies on
  • I thought the garbage bin moved by itself today and I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me, but it was just the wind blowing it. I hope
  • I’ve been waking up between 4.30am and 5 am for the past 2 days. No, I don’t set my alarm that early. My internal alarm just insisting that I lie awake in the dark and try and get back to sleep
  • Well, that’s it from me for now. I’m going off to try and make sense of my assignments.

    Dazed

The week off has passed by so fast I’m left in a daze.

Things I’ve got done so far:
    1. Done site visit for mental health
    2. Done initial interview with client for applied nueroscience
    3. Made further appointment with client to do neuro physical assessment and functional activity analysis
    4. Bought mum’s books from Angus & Robertson
    5. Worked 3 days this week
    6. Gone for cell - did Romans 8 (who knew from that short chapter, there was so much to be gained and so many ways of interpreting things)
    7. Cleaned up my room a few times to discard clothes I don’t wear
    8. Went to the tax office twice to fix up my TFN so that I can finally get my tax returns processed
    9. Went to Myer in the city to say hi to Euhin because going to the tax office ended up being a waste of time
    10. Went to Office Works to get my highlighters
    11. Went for lunch and bubble tea and icey ice in Northbridge
    12. Had group meetings at uni
    13. Watched the neurophysical assessment DVD in preparation for the next visit with our client

After watching Jasmine’s Rock Eistedfodd challenge last week, I’ve tentatively decided I want to pick up dancing again. I wish I could be as flexible as I was so many years ago. Now I’m REALLY beginning to feel old :(

My shoulders are giving me the shits now. It’s so sore from hours and hours in front of the computer, researching for my next few assignments. Speaking of which, I have 2 tests to study for, for next week. Oh, how I wish there were 30 hours in a day so I can get everything done.

Bad Behavior has blocked 193 access attempts in the last 7 days.
