Oz Lotto

Now its no secret that tonight’s lotto is the biggest in Australian history, with $90 million up for grabs.

Well, unfortunately I didn’t win. Otherwise I’d be on the phone straight away and organising plane tickets. I got 3 numbers but still lacked the supp number, which proves that my theory is right. By picking numbers in a single game, you have a bigger chance of winning. My other Slikpik ticket came up with 1 number so that is proof. Twice in a row, impossible to doubt.

Now the question is how to pick the right numbers.

To be honest, I don’t know. I randomly stabbed numbers as well as picked some of my favourite and lucky numbers. I picked some numbers for last year’s Christmas party and I won 3rd prize in the raffle, so I tried my luck again.

Lotto

If you zoom in, you can actually see the numbers I played. And checked online.

That’s how good my new camera is. Which brings me to say, I now am the proud owner of the Panasonic Lumix FS-15. I’ll do a post reviewing the specs, but I can’t stop raving about it! Its awesome because with its 12.1 megapixels and 5x optical zoom and fantabulous macro function, I can now take pictures like this:

Sunnies

and this

Newspaper
Taken from my room window on the 2nd floor, with max optical zoom to the ground floor. In the original resolution and zooming in, you can actually read the subheadings and almost make out the normal print. How about that from about 10 plus metres away.

Anyway, enough raving about the camera I digress. Perth has been hit with wild weather and driving home from Murdoch area yesterday was a nightmare. Driving on the Kwinana Freeway, I could feel my car swaying from side to side while I was doing something like 70 km/h. I did 100 km/h for a short stretch and traffic was too bad to sustain that kind of speeds and the weather too wild. That day was mad. I walked from the car park to work and the wind was blowing so strongly I swear (politely) that my umbrella nearly broke and I nearly got blown off in the wind. Mind you, my umbrella is the bg kind, not those pocket sized ones. It then poured and I ended up with half the front of my skirt wet and my coat was wet in front.

Stupid rain poured down not vertically but nearly horizontally. I was holding my umbrella to the side to avoid getting blown away and avoid getting drenched in the storm. Suffice to say, I don’t quite like winter and the rain. The upside to all of this is that the dams are getting full, so I’m not complaining.

Enough complaining now. From today on, I’m going to blog almost every day and include at least a picture everyday seeing that I have such an awesome camera. Now I just need to get Photoshop or use Picnik to edit my photos. I just need to do something other than play Sims 3 all night :) Which reminds me, I’m supposed to be doing some research for a gig. That will be tomorrow then, I’m too tired out right now. Haha. So much for proactiveness!

Down In The Dumps

I woke up yesterday to quite a rough day at work, having a 7am meeting and all the dramas happening at work. I came home yesterday and all I wanted to do was sleep cause I was exhausted from doing long days at work.

Then I woke up to the Twitter news that Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett having passed away. All I knew about Farrah Fawcett was that she starred in the original TV series version of Charlie’s Angels.

Michael Jackson on the other hand was one of the musicians I grew up with. I remember when he came to perform in Malaysia, I was mesmerised and watched him on TV for hours. I still have multiple videos of Michael Jackson that I taped straight off the TV. I remember being so bummed when I didn’t get to go for this concert.

I watched the TV specials of Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett this morning and somehow I don’t feel so much as the fans on TV feel. I guess knowing the fact that everybody has to die someday and that its not like their my personal friends. This is not to say that I don’t feel sorry for their family members, I just don’t feel like I need to cry and sob and mourn all day long.

I’m probably going to cop it from people saying that I’m insensitive, but to each their own.

That being said, I’m off to shower. My head is starting to hurt and its freezing cold.

Perth Airport Security Sucks

I’m fuming mad at the moment. Just came back from dropping Sam off at the airport.

Stupid incident happened with the security guard there. I’ve included below what I actually wrote to the Perth Airport Management.

This is what I wrote in the complaint:

Hi, I’m writing in to inform you of the incident I encountered this evening while dropping some friends to Perth Airport.

I must say, in all my years with dropping and picking people up from the airport today has left me with a sour note. So far this year, I’ve gone to the airport about 20 times to pick and drop people off and

I understand that the airport is undergoing some upgrades and therefore traffic to and the airport is affected. I was trying to pull up to drop my friends off at 11pm on the 23rd June and there weren’t any available spots to pull up, which was fine. I was going to make another round and try again.

I pulled to a stop in front of the departure gates as I had noticed a car in front of me signalling to pull out. There was a security guard who was telling me to move on. I pointed to him to show him the car was pulling out and was blocking my path so I could not move forward. This security guard yelled at me that I could not stop here.

I knew that but at that point, I obviously could not move forward due to the car being in front of me. I find this security guard extremely rude and not even bothering to look ahead to see why I wasn’t moving.

I hope you will take this feedback on board and improve your service as this is a poor reflection of your personnel.

Thank you.

Stupid idiot must have thought, “Oh, this is a young Asian girl driving this big ass car. Must be some rich kid who doesn’t know how to drive and doesn’t know she can’t stop in the middle of the road”.

Bastard. When he was yelling at me, I was pointing to the car in front of me, which was already halfway out and if I moved I would have hit it. I know la its 11pm but hell I think you don’t have to yell at me. I was so pissed I yelled back at him (through the window of course). He was so bloody loud that I could hear him through my window with the radio on.

And do you know what the best part was? I had to drop Sam at the rental car place cause there was no place to pull up man. What a day for an airport run. Now I’m too worked up about it to sleep.

Waiting For The Camera

Well, since I’ve got my camera and I’m awaiting its arrival in another week or so, I’ve decided to stop blogging till then. I know I’ve got so many backdated posts but until I get everything settled and back into a routine, I don’t think I can spare time to blog.

Check out my Twitter in the side bar, I’ll be updating that multiple times a day instead of blogging in the main page for about a week :)

45 Minutes

How long does it take for a girl to shower?

45 minutes.

This includes washing and shampooing hair, soaping entire body, scrubbing feet, moisturising face and body, and blow drying hair.

How long do you take?

That random fact aside, I spent the holiday (its Foundation Day in Perth) catching up on sleep, getting laundry done and playing with the kids. I think I need more holidays like this :)
