Unfortunately, Perth Airport is full of people who failed their basic shopping centre security guard training. It will never change. My favourite is the gruff lady in Arrivals Customs who likes to take large and/or young families aside at 1am from Heathrow or Dubai with sleeping kids on shoulders and a ton of baggage to rummage through their plethora of barbie and thomas suitcases - until 2am - and then swipe it aside like it's not her problem and leave the family to repack their luggage while she undoes someone else's luggage right on top of your mess - that she created - while tutting the whole time. That lady gets my vote for Mayor....

No, Perth Airport is the reason for our dwindling tourist numbers. It's easier to go to Darwin and drive over to Broome, then fly down to Perth locally than fly directly to Perth from OS.

In fact, on our next trip to Singapore, we're doing just that. International Perth Airport can go jump.

Yes, I had similar experience, I was at the pickup area before the change now where the pickup area is at the outer lane, there was a sign says you can only stop for 2 minutes, and I was there less than 30 seconds, there was a security officer walk pass my car, he knock on my window and says"do you see the sign, move" in a very rude way, and he walk away without letting me say anything. Ever since the stupid 911, yes we need the security to protect us, but it doesn't have to be so rude, so as the security check area, and there is nowhere to complaint, my family had once got the rude treatment, and ask for the officer's name, and he said they don't give their name, and he said he is the supervisor, you can complaint to him, which is meaningless. I am planning to call the radio station to bring up the issue, I am sure there are more people out there had similar experience, it is totally unacceptable.
